I was so relieved to find your service. I spent the morning making calls to various places trying to get testing. I was so frustrated because I either had to schedule an appointment for a few weeks down the road, or I could get in soon, but learned the results would take 2-3 weeks! With your service, I was able to get same day testing with next day results.

Hepatitis A, IgM Only
Known As: Antibody to Hepatitis A, Anti-HAV Total, HAVab Total
Description: Through a blood sample, the Hepatitis A, Total test measures both the IgM and IgG forms of the antibody, but differentiation is not possible. A positive result may imply an infection to Hepatitis A OR vaccination immunity. The IgM only test looks for the IgM antibody to detect an acute infection. The incubation period for Hepatitis IgM Antibodies usually appears 3 to 4 weeks after an initial exposure and return to normal after about 8 weeks. The IgG antibodies may begin to develop 2 weeks after the IgM antibodies increase to a high level. IgG antibodies may persist indefinitely. Turnaround time is typically 1 business day.
Early detection is important so that treatment may begin as soon as possible and assist with delaying the onset of serious complications. In addition, knowing your status will enable you to take the necessary steps in preventing the transmission of Hepatitis A to others.
Requirements: This is a blood test. No special requirements for testing.
Known As: Three part panel includes Hepatitis B Core Antibody, Total; Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis B Surface Antibody.
Description: To gain a comprehensive understanding of Hepatitis B, this three part panel covers many aspects regarding the timeline of a possible infection. The Hepatitis B Surface Antibody looks for clinical recovery or subsequent natural or vaccinated immunity to Hepatitis B. The Hepatitis B Surface Antigen is the earliest indicator of the presence of acute infection. The Hepatitis B Core Antibody is used in conjunction with the other Hepatitis B tests to asses the stage of Hepatitis B infection. The incubation period varies per component but ranges between 3-12 weeks. Turnaround time is typically 1 business day for all three components.
Early detection is important so that treatment may begin as soon as possible and assist with delaying the onset of serious complications. In addition, knowing your status will enable you to take the necessary steps in preventing the transmission of Hepatitis B to others.
Requirements: This is a blood test. No special requirements for testing.
Hepatitis C, RIBA Confirmatory
Known As: Antibody to Hepatitis C, Anti-HCV, Hepatitis C Virus Antibody Supplemental Testing, Recombinant Immunoblot Assay, RIBA HCV
Description: Through a blood sample, the Hepatitis C test measures antibodies. Although this is a highly reliable test, there are certain factors that may cause a low scoring false positive for the Hepatitis C Antibody test. The RIBA test is recommended as a confirmatory measure for low risk clients (refer to Hepatitis C information section for a description of high risk groups) that have a positive Hepatitis C antibody test. Incubation period is usually between 4 to 12 weeks. In rare circumstances, it could take past 6 months to be detectible. Turnaround time is typically 1 business day for the Hepatitis C Antibody test and 2-4 business days for the Hepatitis C RIBA test.
Early detection is important so that treatment may begin as soon as possible and assist with delaying the onset of serious complications. In addition, knowing your status will enable you to take the necessary steps in preventing the transmission of Hepatitis C to others.
Requirements: This is a blood test. No special requirements for testing.

What are Hepatitis A, B, & C?
Hepatitis A, B, & C are 3 of 5 human hepatitis viruses. Generally, these viruses infect the liver in humans. Both Hepatitis A & B have vaccines as a method of preventing infection.
What are the symptoms of Hepatitis A, B, & C? For Hepatitis A, B, & C, a person may be infected with a hepatitis virus but may experience no symptoms at all. If symptoms are present, they may include:
• flu-like feeling
• muscle aches
• headaches
• loss of appetite
• abdominal pain
• jaundice
• nausea
• fever
• extreme fatigue
• darkening of the urine
Note: No one should ever assume that they have a particular illness based on symptoms alone. Many of these symptoms can be related to other illnesses. The only way to determine whether or not you are infected with a hepatitis virus, is to get tested and/or seek medical attention.
How are Hepatitis A, B, & C transmitted?
Hepatitis A is transmitted from person to person by the "fecal-oral" route. This means ingesting infected fecal matter (stool) or by other common contact such as in the household, sexual contact, ingesting contaminated water, drug injection needles that are shared, or eating undercooked shellfish. Hepatitis A usually occurs in regions with under-developed sanitation systems yet it still is present in the United States. Hepatitis A does not cause chronic liver illness and symptoms are very mild and can be short-lived.
Hepatitis B is transmitted by direct contact with body fluids (semen, vaginal fluids, etc) or blood of an infected person. Examples of contact are sexual contact with an infected person, sharing needles with an infected person, or receiving a contaminated blood transfusion. A baby may become infected during delivery if the mother has Hepatitis B.
Hepatitis C is transmitted by direct contact with infected human blood. For example, sharing needles, using someone's razor or toothbrush, sex, or receiving blood or organs from an infected person. A baby may become infected during delivery if the mother has Hepatitis C. High risk groups include people with multiple tattoos or body piercing performed with an unsterilized needle, sharing needles or syringes, having high risk and/or multiple sex partners, or receiving blood transfusions.
Note: Through the consistent and correct use of latex or polyurethane condoms, a person may greatly reduce their risk of acquiring or transmitting STD's.
Are Hepatitis A, B, & C curable and what are some common treatment options?
When infected with Hepatitis A, a person will not carry it long-term. Once you have contracted Hepatitis A, you can not get it again. In rare cases, Hepatitis A can be fatal. A vaccination for Hepatitis A is available to assist in preventing infection.
Hepatitis B is NOT curable but is preventable if you are vaccinated. There are medicines available for treating long-term Hepatitis B infection. Those individuals who have a chronic infection, death may occur in 15%-25% of the cases. A vaccination for Hepatitis B is available to assist in preventing infection.
Hepatitis C is NOT curable and there is NO vaccination for prevention. There are medicines available for treating long-term Hepatitis C infections. Chronic liver disease develops in 70% of all chronically infected Hepatitis C individuals.
Facts and Figures:
Each year in the U.S., there are between 30,000-50,000 new cases of Hepatitis A. About 45% of the American population has evidence of a past infection or immunity to Hepatitis A.
In the U.S. it is estimated that there are over 1.25 million Americans infected with Hepatitis B and 3.9 million Americans infected with Hepatitis C.
